Duke of Edinburgh's Award
• The Award!
This is a nationally recognised qualification at three levels for those aged 13 and over. We run this award right up to Gold level. As many of you know DofE is a strong point of being a member of SYG and we aim to offer this activity at cost, and provide most of the expedition equipment free of charge. We have experienced DofE leaders, that are also qualified to assess DofE expeditions to Gold standard.
We are also able to offer expeditions by boat, kayak and canoe as SYG has qualified instructors for both DofE and British Canoeing.
This will be led by Steve Burgess (steve@syg.org.uk). On Monday evenings between 9pm and 9.30pm there will be on offer an edofe workshop to any that may need help.SYG supervise & assess Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions, and do so roughly twice a year.
