Memebers of SYG completing their Silver and Bronze Test expedition on April 4-7th 2024 in the Peak District area.

There were 6 young people in the Silver group who camped two nights at different campsites.
They carried all their own kit and cooked meals at each site.

There were 9 young people in the Bronze group who on the first day had some training with tents then met the Silver group on the last night of camping.

The weather was good although it was a damp and frosty starts.

Camp craft, navigation and team work was good.

This event was staffed by David Chaplin, Steve Burgess, Paul Whitmell, Craig Barnes, Paul Cain, Alistair Montgomery and Natasha White. The group is grateful for the leaders for giving up their time to make this happen.

We are starting a Gold group and a Silver group in September 2025 as they all progress.
