Memebers of SYG completing their Silver practice expedition on October 3-5th 2024 in the Southwold area.

There were 6 young people who camped two nights at different campsites finishing at the Pier at Southwold.
They carried all their own kit and cooked meals at each site.

The weather was good although it was dark by 6pm making it a long first night.

Camp craft, navigation and team work was good.

This event was staffed by David Chaplin, Steve and Holly Burgess, Paul Whitmell and Craig Barnes. The group is grateful for the leaders for giving up their time to make this happen.

The Silver Test expedition is most likely to be at the start of the Easter holidays in 2025 to the Peak District.
